School for Lay Renewal
Flint
River Presbytery's Commission on Education and Nurture is offering a NEW
School of Lay Renewal in 2010 in order to provide members and friends of
Flint River Presbytery, particularly those who are involved in
smaller-membership congregations, with another avenue for spiritual
growth and formation.
It is our
greatest hope that our monthly classes will accomplish the following:

deepen
the spiritual life of the laity
-
deepen
the Biblical and theological knowledge of laity
-
and
provide practical skills and tools for congregation members, so that
they may return to their home congregations with fresh abilities and
new insight
STRUCTURE
Classes will be held the first or second Saturday of every month
(January-December 2010) to encourage advanced planning and growing
awareness of this presbytery resource.

A $25 fee (which includes lunch) is due the day of
the event. Individuals may feel free to walk-in and register the day of
the event as well; however, to help in planning, please pre-register if
at all possible!
Registration is non-refundable.

How Do I Register?
Each retreat has 5 spaces
reserved through Flint River Presbytery, with the exception of the
"Cistercian Spirituality" in April which has 7 spaces.
The sooner you register,
the greater the likelihood that a space will be available.
Even if our "Flint River
Presbytery" spaces are full, registering by the noted deadline insures a
greater likelihood of availability.

card/debit card ready to make a $30 deposit to re-serve a space.

remaining $90 must be paid upon arrival. Checks or credit cards are

I expect?
Located 35 miles east of
Atlanta, the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, GA is a place of
solitude and peace in a noisy world - a protected sanctuary for
spiritual renewal and reflection. The monastery has a long tradition of
welcoming those seeking respite in a peaceful environment.
