All Saints Presbyterian Church is looking for a Children’s Intern

Job Description:  Approximate Dates Mid August 2018 to end of December 2018

Position Summary
The Children’s Intern will serve for 5 to 10 hours a week.  During that time, the intern will provide Christian Education for less than 10 children and nursery leadership during worship if needed.

Have a love of God and clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
Have a heart for young people and the desire to help them grow in faith
Have a desire to create an environment where faith in Jesus Christ can be developed and explored.
Pass a back-ground check

Primary Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver a Sunday School study of about one hour for each Sunday for children aged 8-12 along with another member of the church.
Remain at the church after Sunday School for at least 15 minutes into worship in case the nursery is needed.  If so, provide nursery care with another member of the church.
Prepare and deliver a Sunday afternoon study for children aged 8-12 during the Sunday afternoon adult study. 
Participate in any All Saints special events which involve children.  An example is the annual Breakfast with Santa.

Overview of Time
Sunday School 2.5 hours – 1 hour of class, plus 1 hour preparation time, plus ½ hour wait for nursery
Sunday afternoon study 2.5 hours – 1 ½ hours class plus 1 hour of preparation

Total of 5 hours which may be longer if nursery is needed or there is a special event but in no case longer than 10 hours.

Compensation
$75 per week

Northminster Presbyterian Church in Macon, GA is looking for a part time youth leader. We have an active and fun youth group with current participation of 5-10 youth per week. We are looking for a dynamic and organized person who can relate to teenagers and will help them to grow in their love for Christ and mentor them on this important part of their journey as disciples. Experience preferred.

Hours:  10-15 per week; Salary $600-$1,100 per month
